Seeking Mentors to Support Recovering Veterans
Mentors can play a vital role in providing support and stability to individuals dealing with adversity, confusion and despair.
Joseph House is preparing to launch a new program that gives our clients the opportunity to have this one-on-one support as part of their treatment.
“Recovery is a process filled with both difficult challenges and triumphant achievements,” said Katie Waits, Joseph House program director. “Having positive influences to support and guide our veterans along the way is a critical component on their journey. We are excited to offer this new program as part of our services.”
We are looking for mentors to help make this initiative possible. It involves meeting with a client three to four times a month over a six-month period to serve as a confidant and role model with whom a veteran can openly communicate about various life areas.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor or would like to learn more, please email Katie Waits ([email protected]) or call 513-241-2965.
