Friends & Family Support Program

The phrase “it takes a village” has never been more applicable than when it comes to addiction and recovery. Clients leaving the safety, security and structure of residential treatment can’t return to an environment in which addictive behavior thrives. Support is a cornerstone in the recovery process, but those battling addiction often have strained relationships with family and friends due to years of behavioral, emotional and trust-related issues. We extend our “whole person” care to clients’ friends and families as these battles are never isolated, and damaged relationships require repair.

Building A Support Network, Healing Together

Joseph House arms veterans’ families and friends with the information and tools needed to support and encourage those struggling with substance use disorders to attain healthy and sober lives. From basic learnings like “what is addiction?” to the roles and rules to be followed in a family with addiction, Joseph House focuses on collective healing and building an environment in which our veterans can thrive. The program also devotes attention to self-care for family and friends while their loved ones are in recovery.

“Joseph House saved my son’s life. Its mission and recovery program are truly life-changing for veterans and their families. I am forever grateful for the support and care he received from the team at this top-notch facility.”
– Barb Chetwood, Mother of a U.S. Navy Veteran and Joseph House Client
