Residential
Shared experiences, understanding, appreciation and commiseration are powerful medicines when in the trenches of addiction. As a veteran-led, veteran-exclusive resource, Joseph House’s 58-bed facility provides a safe and sober, judgement-free residential living environment for those who have served our country. With living quarters exclusively for female veterans; ADA accessible accommodations for clients with mobility issues; and private bedrooms and bathrooms to help lessen triggers and associated symptoms for those suffering from PTSD, Joseph House is Greater Cincinnati’s only inclusive, clinical treatment provider for all veterans.
Collaborative Journey, Personalized Path
The aura of camaraderie fills Joseph House. Bonds form among peers and team members as we steadfastly pursue our mission: To provide hope and healing to veterans in their struggles against addiction and homelessness. Our collective goals are achieved through individualized treatment paths. We coordinate clients’ medical and/or court appointments as we facilitate a 12-step recovery program that includes individual and group counseling, substance use education, case management and peer support services.
A range of specialized services enables clients to embark on a healing journey as unique as they are, from cognitive behavioral therapy, grief and loss, trauma, anger management, communication and 12-step sobriety meetings to art therapy, equine therapy, relapse prevention, yoga, spirituality and pet therapy.
As there are no quick fixes for addiction, Joseph House prioritizes long-term treatment and support, providing a safe environment for healing for up to a year.
